Twenty-six year old Alix Lynx, from New York, was a brilliant student who earned an MBA in Communications and Digital Marketing. Suffice it to say that beneath her bimbo exterior, she is very intelligent. When she realised that her career as a Communications Director would be short-lived because people were frequently dismissed from her company, she jumped on the chance to fulfil her long-time dream to become a webcam girl and porn star.

A few of her close friends were in on the secret, but the entire world discovered her last year when she performed in a viral video in which she gives oral pleasure with her mouth.

It was a series of layoffs that led her to become a webcam girl cam and eventually a full-time porn star.

She told Cosmopolitan that porno was something she wanted to do since her teen years…some of her friends knew about it. While leafing through some Playboy magazines one day at a friend’s house, she said “Wow! These girls are beautiful. I want to be like that!”

Alix said that for years she hid her dream to become a porn star because she grew up in a conservative town where she was lead to believe that she had to go to university and follow a more traditional career path.

She continued by saying she lost her virginity at the age of 16 with her high school boyfriend. She added “Of course, when you’re 16 years old, you don’t go telling people that you want to make porn, so I kept it to myself and didn’t tell anyone”.

It was only when her boyfriend asked her if she liked the new poster featuring a porn star, that Alix admits to beginning to think that the adult entertainment industry was “cool” and that she could picture herself performing sex on camera.
But her partner threatened to leave her if she did porn so she gave up the idea.

Alix took a job as an assistant in a public relations firm and after working for six months, she was promoted to account director, however she was eventually laid off as the company experienced some financial difficulties. She continued to work as a social media manager, but at a lower salary.

Things started clicking for her when one of her male friends admitted that he couldn’t stop going on webcam sites without his girlfriend’s knowledge. Spurred by curiosity, Alix began to do some research about these girls and then signed up and created an account.

She said: “I didn’t know what to expect. When you are new, you get a bright yellow label. Members like new girls because they are “fresh”, and they flocked to me when I logged in.

After making about $287 in three hours in front of her camera, Alix asked herself why she still continued working full time in an office job that only paid $650 per week. But she kept her office job until she couldn’t stand it any more, because she had invested so much into her studies.

After working the live shows for a year, a series of deaths in her family made her realise that she needed to live the life she wanted and to do what made her happy.

Her relatives only learned about her new career last August, when a Facebook friend shared a viral video of Alix and two other porn stars showing how to perform oral sex.

However, Alix said that even though her family doesn’t necessarily approve of her career choice, they are still very supportive.
