An Australian woman reveals her strange life as a webcam girl

Rosie Renée, a young woman from Queensland, Australia, quit her job as a personal fitness coach at a gym in the middle of last year. She suddenly found herself at home not knowing what to do with her time. While watching a British documentary about webcam girls, the idea came to her to try this work as well. She admits that when she first began her new “adult” job, she thought it was a scam. But Rosie very quickly changed her opinion when, a month later, she received her first paycheque. At that point, she decided to make this her new profession.

She can earn up to 8000 Euros ($9500) in a good month. But in order to get these kinds of results, Rosie doesn’t count how much time she spends in front of her webcam, and she’s often logged in for about 70 hours per week. In addition to her modelling and camera work, Rosie puts a lot of effort into her marketing, her set, preparation, and her social networks.

Within a year, she has fulfilled many male fantasies in front of her camera. Some clients have requested unusual things, like asking her to take a bath in beets, to cover herself in pancake batter, and even to set her nipples on fire.

She said: “In the beginning, I was nervous, of course, but I also found it to be very exciting. It took me some time to find and create my niche, but once I did, it was comfortable, natural and very amusing.”
In her own words, “It’s not just about getting naked and going online”.
She decided to share her story to destroy certain stereotypes of the sex industry.
