Right now, the big buzz is about Hanna, a 17-year old New Zealander who enjoys humiliating vulnerable men on Twitter and in the online gaming communities, and tries to make them commit suicide.
On her Twitter account, she clearly states her intentions at the outset:
I treat all men like shit because they are weak and they deserve it. I bully the weak to make them weaker as I simultaneously grow stronger.
She encourages men to perform sexual acts via webcam, to send her photos of their genitals or their nude bodies with their names written on them, or even do humiliating things live on streaming game platforms like twitch. For example, Hanna was able to convince a guy to completely shave his head and eyebrows on a live stream. When he asked her if she liked his new look, after a lengthy silence she responded, “No. I only wanted to see what you would look like with your eyebrows shaved off.”
The media started to pick up on this when a YouTuber nicknamed “MarsRPG” uploaded a video to YouTube in which he claimed that Hanna wanted to encourage her victims to commit suicide.
“This girl won’t stop until these guys kill themselves”, he said in the video. “She finds weak men who have never had a girlfriend or a social life and she wins their affection. She works them for months. We have to report her.”
After this video was posted, which currently has about 500,000 views, the media machine went into high gear and articles began popping up everywhere about “Hanna, the girl who drove men to commit suicide”.
But in reality, the situation is much more complicated than it seems. While there is no doubt that Poison Ivy (her nickname) is a true sadist and takes great pleasure humiliating weak me, there is no proof that she has actually enticed a man commit suicide.
In addition, are these men really the innocent victims like this YouTuber and the media claim them to be? Or are they just masochistic accomplices to Hanna’s sadistic games?
The men featured in these articles acted on their own; they met Hanna on their own volition. If you voluntarily make contact with a sadistic girl who clearly indicates her intentions, it makes you a masochistic man who seeks to satisfy a need to be humiliated, and not a poor, innocent victim abused by a woman.
Many men like being mistreated and humiliated by women, it’s a fairly common fetish. Some will even go so far as to pay a lot of money for this with webcam girls or escorts. And the game’s limits can go very far.
The general public often struggles to understand that men may enjoy being humiliated by a woman, just as some women may enjoy being treated like real sluts or being brutalised in violent sexual games.
